Nici Marx

Nici is a presenter and journalist with extensive experience as a news anchor and reporter in both national and international radio and television, which has made hers a familiar voice and face around the world.  She has been at the sharp end of news and current affairs, anchoring programmes for Sky News, BBC World Television and CNN International over many years.
 
Some of the breaking stories she has handled are: the Gulf War, the Thatcher resignation, the fall of the  Berlin Wall, the Bosnia crisis, the Hong Kong handover, and the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Such experience makes Nici calm under pressure in any live situation, whilst pursuing an incisive line of questioning.
 
Nici’s career began at Invicta Radio in Kent, where she honed her skills as an interviewer and news presenter before moving to County Sound Radio in Surrey, and then Capital Radio and IRN/LBC in London.  As a young reporter for IRN, she was once flattened against a wall by a burly security man whilst trying to obtain a soundbite from Margaret Thatcher! Some of her more unusual television reporting work includes interviewing a man who sticks pins in himself for a living, and learning the art of rope acrobatics!
 
Nici’s work extends to writing and presenting a series on the Arts for BBC television, presenting the Farnborough Air Show for BBC1 and BBC2, and HARDtalk for BBC World TV. Nici has produced and presented Crossing Continents for BBC Radio4, and presented programmes and news on  Radio 5Live and LBC 97.3.
 
Nici’s live event work includes numerous debates for BBC television, from cross-cultural adoption, the Clinton/Lewinski scandal and London Fashion Week, to CNN’s The Media. Her corporate clients include: TEN legal network TV, Volvo, the Abbey, Landrover, InnovITS and H3B Media.

When she’s not interviewing people herself Nici works as a media consultant, helping to raise visibility for products and services and calming the nerves of those who suffer from anxiety when dealing with the press. She has recently spent several months working as a Communications Consultant for an EU project in the Middle East.
 
Nici holds an Honours Degree in Literature and an MA in Middle  Eastern Studies.
