MEDIA TRAINING

Level 1 Introduction:  For those new to interacting with the media. An introduction to understanding what journalists want, how to interact with them, delivering your news, and handling a broadcast media interview. Perfect for anyone in marketing, PR and communications. You’ll practice your skills in front of the TV camera, review how you did, and repeat the exercise before walking away with confidence, a DVD, and full course notes. Maximum of 6 people.

Level 2 Intermediate: Intended for those who’re still confused about what journalists want, or are caught out by media questions during an interview. Research based TV interviews, with feedback and plenty of practice in front of the TV camera. Intended for those with limited experience of the media. Maximum of 6 people.

Level 3 Advanced: “Tough Questions: How to Handle Them”. Identifying the tough questions you’re likely to face during a media interview. You’ll be walked through the process of recognising the difficult questions, and shown how to bat them back with a powerful key message. Suitable for those who deal with the media on a regular basis. Maximum of 6 people.

Level 4 Masterclass: For the seasoned professional looking to sharpen their media interview skills. This training is offered on a one-to-one basis, and will stretch your ability to deal with a “Newsnight” style line of questioning. You’ll be interviewed by an international TV news journalist with many years experience as a reporter and news anchor at the BBC, CNN and Sky News.

Light Bites: In a session lasting between 1 to 2 hours, this is perfect for the time-limited. You will fine-tune your media interview skills in front of the TV camera to make sure you’re staying on message whilst under fire from the journalist. This is a one-to-one training.

PRESENTATION SKILLS TRAINING

Level 1 Introduction: This training day introduces you to the mechanics and execution of a powerful presentation. You’ll be shown the ingredients that make it    memorable, and given the confidence to deliver a presentation that propels you from zero to hero in a single day. Maximum 6 people.

Level 2 Intermediate: You’ll learn how to recognise the good, the bad, and the unspeakable when it comes to making a presentation, how to avoid using stale ingredients, and what turns a jumble of notes into a presentation with punch. There’ll be plenty of on-camera practice during the day, and feedback that will help with the way you present yourself.

Level 3 Advanced: Analysing the building-blocks to a powerful and memorable presentation, this training concentrates on structure and content. Your every move, slide, and word will be put under the microscope to ensure that you’re creating the impression you want, and delivering the messages that matter.

Light Bites: For the time-limited. This session lasts for up to 2 hours. We cast our eyes, and ears, over your presentation to ensure you’re delivering your key messages with impact. Concentrated and powerful. Offered on a one-to-one basis.
